Bug Day
I've been a bit out of Parrot development for a while thanks to just having too many other things to be doing, especially going to conferences. Anyway, today Parrot had a Bug Day - a day where developers get together on IRC, newbies are invited along and we try and quash bugs and recruit more people into Parrot development. So, I set the majority of the day aside (which turned out to exclude the morning - I woke up with a pretty bad throat to sleep off). Overall the bug day went pretty well for me - I dealt with several tickets as well as mentoring a couple of new developers through building Parrot and making their first contributions. Hopefully they stick around and keep contributing! Looks like things will be going on for some hours after I've gone too. It's a good day for Parrot. :-)
